Somebody just backed into me today on my way home from school....grrr...

Hokay, here's the story:

I pull up behind this black Chevy Trailblazer at a four way stop.  I was behind the blazer and just waiting for it to turn left.  Well....she was stopped for an abnormal period of time but then she starts to pull out into the intersection.  She then proceeded to stop in the middle of the intersection.  So I'm like, "uhhhh ok crazy Russellville driver."

I'm still stopped at the stop sign waiting for her to go wherever it was she was going....little did I know she was gonna end up in my face....literally!  She backs up from the middle of the intersection and her trailer hitch hit the front of my car.....*sadness*  So we proceeded to pull over and she just kept apologizing for hitting me.  She said that she was lost and that she was having a really bad day...(I mean, I was too...I had just gotten out of chemistry lol!)

So I looked my car over...no dents, just a little paint was peeled off...her trailer hitch was cracked a bit (funny how my little fiberglass car broke a steel trailer hitch...go figure...I should ask my chemistry teacher about that one!)  and we decided to just go our seperate ways rather than to file a report about it.

I believe that mine and David's theory was proven...Russellville drivers really are insane!!

I just went the entire day not knowing that people could see my underwear through my skirt....

I just want to curl up somewhere and die....

But hey...the underwear is cute at least!  I love laughing at myself...

I just read an inspiring story about Barbaro...I believe it's worth posting:

He should be dead by now, and we know that.

We just don't like admitting it because morbid thoughts scare and depress us. We'd rather hold onto Barbaro's life than submit to his demise. It's a most human sentiment and a proper one, too.

But in order for us to appreciate this horse right now, we have to look at the dark side. It shows us how much of a champion Barbaro remains. It shows us his strength. It shows us that his willingness to confront death, to fend off death, surpasses any dominant achievement he had on the track.

Keep going, Barbaro. Keep battling. Keep showing us even more than we knew you had.

What's harder: Winning the Kentucky Derby by 6½ lengths or surviving for eight weeks while being required to prop 1,200 pounds on a shattered right hind leg?  Ever broken your ankle and tried to stand on it for hours and hours, days and days, until it healed? Didn't think so. For the most part, that has been Barbaro's assignment since he hurt the leg during the Preakness Stakes on May 20; only his injury is way more painful and his girth way more problematic.  Eight weeks ago, we heard doctors say any other horse would've been put down instead of having surgery to insert 27 screws and a titanium plate on a delicate limb.

Eight weeks later, Barbaro is still fighting.

Four days ago, we heard Dean Richardson, Barbaro's chief surgeon, describe how the colt had developed a severe case of the potentially fatal laminitis in his left hind leg, his good leg, and faced "long shot" odds of survival.

Four days later, Barbaro is holding steady.

Every day is the same perilous struggle, and there's no clear timetable for relief. His dilemma just keeps rewinding itself.  "We monitor his condition very closely because signs can change quickly," Dr. Richardson said in a release Friday. "However, it's important to remember that Barbaro's treatment could easily continue for several weeks and, if all goes well, even months. Our goal is to keep him as comfortable as possible, and clearly that comfort level will be a major indicator for our treatment decisions."  There are so many things that could go wrong. If Barbaro develops laminitis in another foot, he'd likely be euthanized because the pain would be too much. It might become too painful even without a spreading of laminitis.

He should be dead. But he continues to live. He continues to impress.

Thoughts of what a healthy Barbaro could've accomplished do not matter anymore. What he's accomplishing seals his legacy as talented and tough.

He's teaching us something about horse racing, too. We appropriately put considerable emphasis on what went wrong and how the sport needs to challenge itself on safety issues. But Barbaro's not going to be remembered as a champion who showed us the ugly side of horse racing.

His story is showing us the heart of this sport. We're discovering why we love animals so much. We're appreciating how special it is to just to watch a racehorse compete and walk away healthy.

All athletes put their bodies in danger every time they play. But when we see LeBron James or Tom Brady writhing in pain, our thoughts don't immediately wander to death. They do with horses.

I can still hear the screams of a woman at Pimlico Race Course when Barbaro pulled up lame. She cried and yelled and jumped over a rail to yell more. She knew the morbid possibilities.

Barbaro dismissed death that day. He's dismissed death for 58 straight days now.

God Bless you Barbaro. You're an inspiration for all of us!

I just read Sarah's Xanga......hahahaha!!

Sarah, I'm sorry all of this happend to you.  Sometimes I don't know why people we care/cared about can turn on you like a rabid dog, but alas, they do.  Frankly, I don't understand him....he probably was never the person we thought he was (or could be that is).  He's always had a bit of a streak like this in him...from what I can remember anyway.

This wasn't the first time he was verbally abusive.  He did it to me a couple of months ago.  He proceeded to cuss me out and say some very harsh things about me after he found out that Kayla and I had been talking.  The only thing I did was send Kayla those emails he sent me that said he wanted to get back together with me and that Kayla was not what he wanted.  Then Kayla told me that he was just trying to push my buttons to see if I would do it.  He blew up when he found out that Kayla read those emails.  All I was doing was showing her the truth, (or variations there of, because of course he denied it all), and what he had been up to.  His stories have never added up.  I think he forgets that I'm not stupid....or not near as stupid as he is...lol!

So after all the verbal abuse I took (and I probably took too much of it in the first place), I blocked his emails and the problem has been solved.

Ok...for the rest of you xanga-ers out there.....if you haven't read Sarah's post, I suggest that you do so because the same thing has been happening to me for the past 2 1/2 years.  Oh...P.S.  How many of you think that I am an "ugly bitch" or would you "puke" whenever you see me??  (Yes....that's what Thomas said in those emails...)  I just want to see if he really is crazy, or if I really am like that....tell me what ya think!

Disney claimed yet another victim.  This time, Mission Space wasn't to blame....My beloved Rockin' Roller Coaster was....*sigh*  You know, they don't have warning signs for nothing!  If you're not fit to ride something this turbulent, don't do it!!  Plain and simple!  And if you have a history of heart disease or high blood pressure or whatnot, GO TO THE DOCTOR BEFORE YOU PLAN A VACATION AND RIDE THESE TYPES OF ROLLER COASTERS....geez...

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - A 12-year-old boy died after riding a roller coaster Thursday at the Disney MGM theme park, the Orange County sheriff's office said.

The boy died after he was brought by ambulance to a hospital at about 11:30 a.m., a Disney statement said. The cause of death was not immediately known, Sheriff's spokesman Jim Solomons said.

Park officials closed the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster but said a preliminary investigation showed the ride was operating normally.

A Disney Web site description of the ride says: "Zoom from 0-60 mph with the force of a supersonic F-14, take in high-speed loops and turns synchronized to a specially recorded Aerosmith soundtrack."
